Eating disorders are complex mental health challenges and appear different for everyone. Signs someone might be struggling include: obsessive calorie counting, dissatisfaction with body shape or appearance, binge eating, chronic loss of appetite, overvaluation of shape and weight, excessive exercising, strict dietary rules (not related to a medical condition), delayed eating, food avoidance, chronic grazing, and purging. There are many types of eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa (AN), Bulimia Nervosa (BN), Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED).
