It’s been a busy summer at weCHC! Here’s some of what we’ve been up to:
July 28th, 2023 was World Hepatitis Day!
In attempt to provide quality care for those living a high-risk lifestyle, weCHC hosted a Hepatitis C, Addiction and Sexual Health Fair at H4. Representatives were on-site from Erie Shore HealthCare, Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, Pozitive Pathways, Windsor Essex Community Health Unit and Windsor Regional Hospital!
Art for Wellness
Our Health Promotion team recently hosted an art wellness session with the Multicultural Center women’s group. The group painted a tree of strength, practiced their English and made connections with each other!
weCHC also provided a short presentation on our community services, accessing health care and primary care. The group expressed they had lots of fun and enjoyed asking questions about healthcare services!
Golf Tournament
The 2023 Golf Tournament was a success! weCHC hosted the tournament at Essex Golf and Country Club to raise money for our community. Donations help us purchase grocery store gift cards, hygiene products, winter wear, canned goods, lancets for diabetes monitoring, vitamins, pet food and much more!
